 How To Purchase Condominium Units in the Philippines?

Here in the Philippines, there are no restrictions for owning a condominium unit. Anyone can own a condominium unit regardless if you are Filipino, Filipino Citizen, Dual Citizenship or Foreigner. The limitation for foreigners are only applicable to house & lots where in they can only purchase when: married to Filipina or named under a Philippine Registered Company.


How To Purchase Condominium Units in the Philippines?

Once you have decided on which property to purchase, the only requirement of Megaworld Corporation are the following:

1. Filled up & Signed Reservation Agreement Form

  • Local based BUYERS can simply visit our office or meet with their respective Megaworld Real Estate Broker to fill up Reservation Agreement Form

  • Foreign, Outside the country, In the province based BUYERS can fill up Reservation Agreement Forms via email. Your respective Megaworld Real Estate Broker can send these forms thru email.

2. Filled up & Signed Buyers Information Sheet

  • Same as above

3. Photocopy of any government issued Valid ID

  • Same as above

4. Reservation Fees can be settled thru Credit Card, Check, Cash or Wire Transfer directly to Megaworld Corporation’s Bank Account

  • Local based BUYERS can settle reservation fee thru CASH, CREDIT CARD, CHECK at Megaworld Makati Office

  • Foreign, Outside the country, in the province based BUYERS can settle reservation fee thru Wire Transfer / Bank Deposit directly to Megaworld Corporation’s Bank Account.

5. Once the unit is Reserved, we’ll be sending you the Original Reservation Agreement Forms and Buyers Information Sheet to your address worldwide. After signing the said forms you may send them back via courier directly to Megaworld Makati’s Office attention to my name. We require scanned copies for Foreign Based Clients to be able to block and close unit under your name together with Reservation Fee Wire Transfer Receipt.

6. Monthly Amortizations can be settled thru wire transfer or Post Dated Checks (PDC). We accept Philippine Issued or US Issued Checks. PDC’s are not required but is recommended for much easier and convenient sending method. For Foreign Based Clients, you may send your PDC’s to our Makati Office attention to my name. All PDC’s are of course payable to Megaworld Corporation.

7. For Wire Transfer Payments, you will receive a wire transfer receipt from your bank / transferring agency which you need to scan and send us a copy for payment verification. We’ll be needing your transaction number, indicated on the receipt, for verification and posting purposes.

8. For every payment made, regardless of the payment method, Megaworld Corporation will directly send your Official Receipts to your desired Postal Address anywhere in the world

9. After 2 – 3 months, your Contract To Buy & Sell will be mailed directly to your Postal Address which you need to sign on every page and send it back to us. For Payment Schemes with Outright Downpayment, we can expedite your Contract To Buy & Sell right after Reservation Fee is cleared.
